Postpartum stitches

I am 1 week and 4 days PP. I did tear but honestly, I haven't got a clue where. I can feel the stitches, but I've taken a mirror and cannot see them. That makes me think they are all inside?? Idk. Not the point of the post anyway.

I have an appt with my OB Monday(in 3 days) where I'm assuming she will be taking my stitches out. . . So I turned to Glow to see what I can expect.

I have noticed a LOT of you have stitches that come out on their own? This seems bizarre to me.

**My question is, if I dont have the type that come out on their own, what do I need to expect for when she takes them out? Does it hurt? So they numb it up? I'm a tab bit worried.
