Should you be working by the age of 21?

This isn’t about me personally before all of you guys get slick with your mouth. Just answer the poll.

I didn’t vote because it’s hard to say without knowing more about the situation. 
Honestly my parents supported me while I went to college. I was taking 15+ units each semester and also has both summer and winter break classes. After I got my associates and took a break from college then I got a job.
I think that depending on the situation like if they are a full time student, it may not be necessary to get a job. But if they just lazing around at home then they should have a job by 21.
It’s also partially a parents fault if they aren’t doing anything because they need to motivate their kid or threaten to kick them out if they want their kid to be working and they aren’t.

I worked since I was 16. My parents supported me in college and in school, but i always had a job and paid for food, gas, school supplies ect. I had anywhere from 12-15 credit hours and still worked. It teaches time management and responsibility. Alot of my peers in college didn't have to work and just goofed off most of the time. One barely passed all her courses since she couldn't manage her time and was drunk alot. (She was my roomate, was a downhill battle trying to help her even with us having most of the same classes) it works well for some, not for others though. But at 21 i think you need at least some kind of job experience. You cant rely on your parents forever. And having previous job experience, even if basic, shows you have some experience in the workplace vs someone whose only got a degree with nothing else on their resume.

Lol you should be working by the age of 16. Personality has nothing to do with it, if you can’t do high school and a job, you’ll never be able to do 18 credit hours and a job in college, and you’ll definitely never be able to do two young kids, a husband, parents with decreasing health, pets, and a full time career. Life is rough, you might as well start early.

Been working since the day I turned 14 and took on paying for all my own bills. Im so thankful i raised that way. It made me independent and respectful of things

That depends. If you’re in college, it’s hard to have a full time job at the same time. But if your schooling stops at 18 and you’re not doing anything else for a career,  like an internship or trade school, then yes you should be working.

Are you in college? It depends on your lifestyle and happenstance. I am hoping that when I get there I will have helpful parents until I graduate or get married.

I think it depends on the situation. I got pregnant at 17 and was a SAHM. We had our own house and he made enough so I didn't have to work. My cousin was in school and her parents let her live at home and paid for everything so she could focus on school. 
If you're not in school and just sitting at home being a bum then yes!
