How long did it take to get approval for the iud

i had my 6 week pp checkup 3 weeks ago and we decided to try the iud in hopes of stopping my period and so i don’t have to try and remember to take a pill. I use to never even need birth control because my body decided to quit ovulating and had low progesterone so we didn’t have to worry about getting pregnant. Well after my second we didn’t do birth control cause we figured we wouldn’t get pregnant again since we had to take medicine to get pregnant. Well i had found out i was pregnant week before her 1st birthday. So we don’t want to chance it again. And i hate condoms. They smell horrible and just are messy. Well they said they would call my insurance approved my iud to set up the appointment. I would have thought they would have called by now.
