What would you do? 😞
So a little back story, I am a high risk pregnancy because my last pregnancy was a stillborn at 39 weeks without cause.
I'm currently 36 weeks and baby has been absolutely perfect until now. I nearly fainted while grocery shopping, so after I had my GD test (not sure why they waited so long) and I failed the 1 hour, i should have been in the 130s but i was nearly in the 160s!
I'm also severely anemic and they have prescribed me iron medication.
All was fine and dandy and today I had a scheduled NST (non stress test) well while I was there his heart beat kept dropping off the monitor even though he wasnt moving (he really cant move without me feeling it at this point) it would drop into the 80s, then the monitor would stop reading it and then it would jump up to 160s. the nurse seemed worried and brought in two L&D high risk nurses and they also were concerned. They kept me for a bit until his heartbeat stayed steady at 120bpm without dropping off the monitor for about fifteen minutes..
They told me to watch his movements and sent me home.. but I feel like they should have done an ultrasound just to make sure he wasn't wrapped up at all or having other issues.. they told me to go to l&d if I felt like anything was off..
Would you go in and ask for an ultrasound or just to be monitored? He was moving for a few hours steadily but has decreased again, which is pretty typical for him about this time.
Or would you just stay at home and do kick counting and sort of hope for the best..? I'm worried but I dont want to seem like a hypochondriac or waste their time when they could be helping women who actually have problems..
