So my guy and I have been talking online for 8 months and have been planning on meeting around our 1 yr “anniversary”. The sitch is that I live in the US and he’s in Jordan. There’s a 10 yr difference between us...I’m older...and I’m still SUPER nervous/scared to tell my uber conservative Christian family that I am going there to meet him and that we’ve been talking about marriage.

His culture doesn’t really do the whole “dating” thing like we’re used to, and I’ve been studying his religion and culture (not pressuring me or anything, just for my own knowledge) so it’s definitely something that my family won’t understand.

Any advice?
