Doctor possibly wrong? Advice. Please. 🙏🏻

Question

Background story—
3 weeks ago, I went in for a SUPER early ultrasound. My sac was measuring 5w0d. 
Yesterday I went in for another ultrasound. My app was telling me I was 8w2d. They did a vaginal ultrasound and stated they couldn’t detect a heartbeat. And my sac was measuring 7w2d. They told me I was having a miscarriage and the baby had stopped growing a week ago. 
I am not bleeding. 
I am not cramping. 
I am VERY nauseous. Especially in the car or truck. 
My boobs still hurt. 
I am very shaking like I haven’t ate all day. 
That’s about it. 
I go back Monday (today is Saturday) for another ultrasound and they want me to schedule a D&C. 
IS THERE ANYONE that can give me any advice. 
And please, be honest. My friends are giving me enough “false hope”

They can’t diagnose off an US alone. 
-is your hcg in a reasonable range? 
Is it increasing in serial basal hcg measurements? (THIS DECLINES IN RATE AFTER 8 weeks!!-doubling in 24-48h is a better prediction of viability in early stages ie less than 5 weeks).  
Was there a yolk sac? Did it have a nice dark centre and a clear ring? 
And what was your embryonic sac measuring at? If it was greater that 2.5 cm and no yolk sac, it isn’t favourable.... (statistically speaking) But I’d opt to wait until 8 -9 weeks for a follow up. Women with a Retroverted uterus often have issues with early scans. 
If you do have a yolk sac, you should expect to see a heart beat within 13 days in a follow up scan. (From memory). 
They work off statistics- and you can be out side the their range. Unfortunately you’re in the wait and see category. It sucks. 😣
If you’re really worried-do your research, find a US place that specialises in early scanning diagnostics. Worst case scenario- they’ll at least be sympathetic and professional at time of diagnosis❤️ 
(From a PhD qualified mum, in the same boat who read a lot of papers on pubmed and chatted with all her sonnographer and Dr friends).

Wait two more weeks before D&C. I had a Blighted Ovum last summer and  the sac grew for the entire first trimester without anyone inside. I found out officially at around 7/8 weeks that it was not viable and took me until 11 weeks to miscarry naturally. In that time I read the entire internet on the matter. There's no harm in waiting two more weeks to be 100% sure.

I just wanted to say when I was pregnant with my son I went for a scan and was told less than 4 weeks as the sac was empty, went back 2 weeks later and my son was there measuring 10weeks5days so I was 8 weeks when they couldn’t see anything. Hope it’s the same for you xxx

On your second ultrasound did they see yolk sac and fetal pole? If it’s there then maybe it takes time to hear the heartbeat. And maybe you are not 8 weeks. Hey don’t worry too much.

It could be too early to detect a heartbeat? And maybe you just ovulated later than you think, I was 8w+5 on my ultrasound and I only measured 8w.

I am so sorry you're going through this. My US was on Tuesday at 6 weeks and 4 days everything was seen but no heartbeat. My fertility doctor stated that he feels like this is a miscarriage more than anything. I was distraught and heartbroken. The next day I asked the nurse was there anything else abnormal about the US and she said no and that there is a chance that my due date is wrong. My doctor never said any of that but just the bad. So I decided to wait 2 weeks before going back for the second US. The waiting period is very hard to do  .Praying for us both.

Honestly, it sounds like a missed miscarriage. If they are doing another scan before a D&C to verify there is still no heartbeat, then I would trust them. I am so sorry you are going through this.

Unfortunately your body thinks you are pregnant and will grow the sac with no baby inside. you will also experience all the symptoms until it is removed.. I had a missed miscarriage and baby was there but stopped developing, I had to take the pill to remove the sac as my body never recognized the loss it was over 3 weeks since the baby had passed and I didn’t have a single symptom or indication that anything was wrong.. so sorry your going through what sounds light a blighted ovum...

I would do 2 blood tests (2 days between the tests) to see if the level of hormone going up or down, this will clarify what's happening for sure.

For my missed miscarriage, my body still thought it was pregnant for 4 weeks after the baby stopped growing. I ended up getting the d&e because I felt it was the best option for me. My pregnancy symptoms didn’t stop for another 4 weeks after my surgery.
