Breastfeeding related wheezing?

My newborn is 3 weeks old (24 days) and I noticed that today his feeds went from around 30 minutes to 20 minutes. And at night they went down to 15 minutes.

He choked a few times today while feeding (I think the milk flow was too much for him) and ever since he has this sort of wheezing—like something’s stuck in his throat but clearly he can’t clear his throat.

His nighttime feed today was near impossible. To me it seems to be that he’s just way more sleepy at night it’s been near impossible to feed him because he won’t wake up. But I’m also now nervous it has to do with this little wheezing noise that comes and goes.

He doesn’t have a temperature and seems to be fine, just sleepier today.

Anyone ever experienced this? I hope this wheezing noise isn’t related to his shorter feeds?
