Period or something else?

So I had a baby on April first (almost 6 weeks ago) I stopped bleeding last Monday. It had been light brown since about 3 weeks pp. but on Friday I think I may have started my period? It was dark brown at first but then it turned to bright red but it’s not heavy at all. Like one or two drops and no bleeding when I go to the restroom but it’s continued up to today. Could this be more pp bleeding or my period? I have been sexually active & I am on birth control.
