Does lightening crotch mean I’m close to labor?

I’ll be 37 weeks tomorrow and for the past couple of days I’ve been experiencing a lot of sharp pains down my vagina every time baby moves or when I get up. Does this mean labor is right around the corner or can this just be another symptom that could last for weeks?

Nope. I never went into labor with my first and I had lightning crotch since 2nd trimester.

I had a similar feeling...not sure if we're talking bout the same thing...but my OB said it was the baby elbowing me in the vagina due to positioning. Drove me nuts the whole second half of the pregnancy lol.
