Issues with period

So my period started and I ALWAYS wear tampons. I’m at my boyfriends for the weekend and ran out so I used my back up pads. Every time I pee and wipe it’s solid blood. But when I check my pad all weekend long it has NOTHING on it at all. As if I wasn’t even on a period. I don’t understand what’s going on??
