For those that already had their May babies. Did you go into labour with contractions starting or your water breaking first?

I’m curious as I’m 40.1 and  with my first I was induced at 38 weeks and it took awhile for my water to even break. 
This time I’m wondering what has been more common for you ladies  contractions first then water breaking? Or water breaking followed by contractions either on your own or induced ?

The day before I was having period like cramping all day. Then the next day my water broke at 5:00am. I took a shower and lost my mucus plug. Contractions started about 5:45am and were already 3 to 3 1/2 minutes apart. My daughter was born at 11:47am the same day.

I had contractions first. They ended up having to break my water. I was ready to push and it hadn’t broke by itself.

I induced labor at home using my breast pump. I had bloody show long before contractions started. But once they did, Labor was SLOW. My water did not break until about 28 hours into my labor, after receiving Pitocin and an epidural. I was asleep when it broke. Lol

Your water breaking as the start of labor is a lot more rare.

The night before I went into labor I was having contractions that keep waking out of my sleep the next morning I went into labor and my water was a slow leak

My water broke at 2am and it was probably 15-20 mins before my contractions started, but when they did they were already 4 minutes apart.
