fostering a pit bull

nikki

hey lovies so my bfs friend is moving and is staying with family who do not like animals so she’s been searching for someone to take her one year old pit. after many questions and pics later i agreed and so did my bf. now my bf is worried about his allergies with the pup and my mom who i live with wants to meet the pup first. my mom has an extreme bias towards pits and i want to show her how good of a boy he is pit or not. i’m so worried that if we don’t take him that he’s going to end up in the shelter and knowing he’s a pit he’ll have a difficult time getting adopted. i seriously don’t believe i could live with myself if that happened. i have two small dogs who have only been around each other except for my bfs puppy who is a morkie that they don’t like and a mastiff pup they tolerated much better than the morkie considering they only met her four times the most. t he pit is scared of other dogs (not aggressive when scared but he won’t be all up in their business). how do i even go about introducing a one year old bigger dog to little 10 pound max senior citizens? i just feel like this has to go perfectly so please give me any advice. i have experience with being a big dog owner but never mixing the little with the big. of course i have a job so i’m worried about them during the day alone together until they get used to one another. anyone have any advice on how to keep them separated without it being cruel? ( i refuse to leave any of the dogs outside during the day). thank you ladies, please pray that well be this guys new foster parents
