Accepting job at 35 weeks?

Sorry if this isn't super controversial, but I feel like some ladies would have strong opinions on this.

Would you accept a job at a daycare at 35 weeks pregnant? I would enroll my child in the center as well but am scared it might be a dumb move and I may not want to give up the time with my baby. I'm just so bored at home. Opinions?

I wouldn't do it personally. You're going to want time with your baby. When I had my first I planned on going back to work after a couple of months and ended up staying out of work for over a year. Best thing I ever did! If you can afford it, stay home. Now that I'm pregnant with my second and bills are tight right now unfortunately I'm going to have to go back to work after a couple months once I give birth. :(

You won't be bored once the baby is born. You'll have your hands full, and you might not be ready to return to work when they want you to come back. I don't judge either way. It's ultimately up to you.

It be hard as you get nearer to 40 wks. Would they offer leave too? Especially since you would be a new employee

No. I wouldn't do it. I'm 37w4d and I stopped working just past my 36w mark because it was physically too much for me. I run a daycare out of my home and I'm dead tired by the end of the day and I only have 1 little boy who turns 1 in October and my son is in school 9am-3pm m-f lol and I'm still tired.

I think it would take away some much needed bonding time for baby

Would you have to start right after giving birth? I think you should take some time off to bond with the baby and that that time is much needed. But that's just my opinion.
