Contractions strong but irregular

Y’all, I need help. I’ve never had to wait this out at home. I was induced with my first due to preeclampsia and my water just broke at 39 weeks with my last. I’ve been having none stop contractions since Saturday. Went to L&D and they sent me home because they weren’t close enough together and weren’t lasting 40 seconds. Last night they were SUPER close together and I started timing them. I wanted to make sure it was the real deal so I showered, drank water and tried to relax. Well then they stopped 😒🙄 I’ve had about 4-5 within 20 or so mins here and there but then they stop. Any advice?! I’ll be 36 weeks tomorrow. Baby girl is measuring 2 weeks ahead. How can I get them closer together and make this actually happen?!
