All natural vbac?

So I had a traumatic birth experience with my first. 26 hours of labor and never getting past 5cm because baby was face up so it lead to a c-section. That was not the trauma. We induced at 42 weeks,I was assured I would be able to labor completely naturally in my room they were just going to start me on pitocin to get things going. Lie. My very first check she broke my water without telling me what she was doing so I was bed ridden then entire time. I feel as if I was robbed. Next pregnancy I want to labor completely natural (as long as it’s safe) we’re currently trying to decide when to start trying. What’s the soonest a Vbac has been possible for anyone? Were you able to do everything naturally or were there other things to consider? Is the pain really worse?
