How many size 1 diapers did you use?

I'm working on my stockpile. I've read some people only needed 300 some people needed 1,000

You shouldn’t stock pile. Just buy them as needed. The only diapers I would have stock piled at like size 5 which is the size my daughter was in the longest (a year) before I potty trained her.

My last two babies came out needing size 1s instead of newborn. So we needed lots and lots.

It depends on the baby, but most places will let you exchange unopened boxes for the next size up.

Personally I wouldn’t stockpile until after the baby, simply because you’re not going to know which diapers work best for your baby or if your baby may have a reaction to (my youngest couldn’t do luvs).
My baby has gone through a few boxes of ones but she’s definitely about to be in 2s

So far I have stocked 1 box and 2 packs of newborn (they don’t stay in those often plus the hospital gives you some). 2 boxes and 9 packs of size ones, 3 boxes and 5 packs of size twos. Plan on getting one more box of size 2. 
You can always trade up. I suggest trading up at target to get the gift cards.

Never used size 1 lol My oldest was 9lb then 8lb 12oz, 7lb 11, 6lb 7oz (she was born 8 weeks early so she would’ve been an elephant if I carried her to term). I always started at size 2 and never stockpiled any size. I stockpiled underwear when they became toddlers though.
