When were you ready to start trying for your second baby?

My baby boy is almost going to be one! Am I crazy for wanting to try again? I know I want him to have at least one sibling, but did you ever feel 100% ready? Or did you just go for it?

We tried when my daughter was 7 months. We felt ready since we wanted a sibling close in age for her. Worked the first time! Due with our son in 3 weeks. They will be about 16 months apart. Hoping it goes ok! ...I’ll definitely wait much longer for baby #3

I felt 100% ready around when my daughter turned 2. My body wasn’t really ready when she was one and I just didn’t have baby fever yet but as soon as it hit, it hit hard. I’m currently 36 weeks with my second ❤️

My daughter is 18 months and I personally am not ready at all. Will probably wait until she’s in kindergarten or we may not have a second one. I like being able to focus on just her and not divide my attention.

I felt ready after a year but my husband and I got engaged 3 weeks before I found out we were pregnant with our first son so we decided to wait until after the wedding to try again. Our first son with me 3.5 when on next son is born in 15 weeks.

I got pregnant unexpectedly , I wanted two right away immediately PP we were having unprotected sex , I wasn’t on BC , but nothing was happening. Then she got older and I changed my freaking mind , found myself pregnant 2 months later using the pull out method after using nothing for so many months. My daughter will be two when the baby comes. She turns 2 , September 8 , my son is due September 28.

I personally think 2years is the perfect age gap. By two years old they are very independent and helpful.  Might be harder if younger, but i dont know.  My babies are two years apart and it's perfect.  Me and both of my sisters are 4 and 5 years apart. And we didn't get along till we were all older cause of the age gap. My babies will be super close i hope.

It is recommended to wait 18 months between giving birth and getting pregnant again. This is what’s best for your body and the health of your next baby. My daughter was almost 22 months when I got pregnant with #2 so she will be 2 1/2 when the new baby comes & I feel ready and not stressed bc they will be at 2 different stages, yet still close enough in age to play together.
