I was diagnosed with velamentous cord insertion around 18 weeks. Velamentous cord insertion is where the blood vessels in the cord are exposed where they connect to the placenta. I was just wondering, has anyone else had a normal vaginal birth with this umbilical cord insertion? Was there any complications or precautionary actions you had to take? I would really love to have a natural birth with no epidural. I appreciate any advice you can give me.
