Breastfeeding and Pacifiers?

Hey ladies ! My daughter was breastfed and always refused a pacifier no matter what I did.  I would love to breastfeed my next baby due in November but would love to use a pacifier.  Any tips or is this just a individual baby thing ?? Thanks!

I think it just depends on the baby. I breastfed all of mine. My boy took a pacifier and my girls refused them.

It's all trial and error. My son would spit them out like they were dipped in poison. Tried every available type and size, I'm not kidding. But took bottles without blinking twice, though he preferred to drink straight from the tap.

We gave our son one in the hospital. And just pushed it pretty strongly and he eventually took and and loved it.   I prefer to use them as you can take them away.  You cant get rid of a finger or thumb

I really think it's just a preference of the baby not whether or not they're breastfed. Good luck!

My daughter is still breastfed and took to only the mam pacifier. We tried several different ones but that’s the only one she liked. I think every baby is different but also need to try a few pacis to see which they take to!

I breastfed 5 some would refuse the pacifier (3 of em) and some would take a pacifier and also breastfeed (2 of em). Most of the time you are the pacifier.

All my breastfeeding babies wouldn’t take one. It’s so different than the natural breast. Maybe if you pump often and feed with bottles regularly they might take a one better?
