Post birth sex

Okay guys so I'm almost 4 weeks postpartum and two days ago my husband and I had sex. (I understand that we shouldn't have because of the risk of infection) I didn't tear or anything during birth. I was still bleeding and passing pea sized clots, now I'm pretty much just spotting.. did we just time it right or did the sex stop my bleeding?

My Dr appointment is Tuesday and I will tell her what happened... I'm just curious in the mean time.
