When to use gas drops?

First time Mom question - how do I know when my baby needs gas drops?
My little guy is a month old and has been extra fussy lately,  but how do I know if that fussiness is due to gas or something else? What will I see that will show me that he needs gas drops?

My girl will straight up fart 💨 so loud & ill do some leg exercises && give her gas drops. I’ll do gripe water if she’s fussy

My little girl will pull her legs into her chest and then straighten them out really stiff and cry if she has gas.

My son is 7 weeks and if he isn’t burped twice during feedings all day he will be fussy with gas that evening. I can tell because when I nurse him he latches on and off, kicks a lot and cries while eating. I found he does better with gripe water, then I hold him under his belly and walk around.

My son was crying and his face was turning red. He would strain and kick his feet trying to pass gas. He was like this on and off all day long before I started the gas drops. He also has loud farts lol so you could hear those occasionally through it all too.
