I've been seen at a high risk dr for the last few months because I'm having trouble with my thyroid and I have a history of preeclampsia and preterm labor - so they do an ultrasound every 4 weeks. Yesterday when I went in for my scan - I'm 26 weeks now - I had a consult with the dr and he asked if my other children were born "big babies" because the baby is measuring 2.5 lbs now, her stomach is big, and she has a lot of fluid around her. My cervix is also shortening. He said these could be indications of gestational diabetes, which is something I've not had before. I also have another week before my glucola screening. Has anyone ever gone through this or heard of such things?
