8 month old will NOT let me brush his teeth!!! Is this okay?

So I just give him the banana tooth brush with some water on it after every meal, is this okay?

We made it into a game to keep the event positive. Every night I tell him I want to see his teeth brushing skills and we clap and get excited as he brushes his teeth. He does pretty well with it and he’s 1.

My daughter only has the top 2 and bottom 2 so I let her chew on the finger toothbrush then flip it and let her chew some more. Occasionally I try to use the baby tooth and gum cleaner her Ped gave us

Work with him as much as possible. Show him cute YouTube videos or anything that’ll get his attention. My nephew just turned 3 and never brushes his teeth and is still a bottle drinker and eats lots of candy and has 4 cavities. Try the bubblegum toothpaste or fruit flavored bc the mint one is kind of spicy lol
