The hubby and I are expecting baby number two June 24th so we’ve had to be less frivolous about our spending. I still wanted to do something special for him though so I’ve started working on a portrait of our daughter. He refers to her as his little feral wild child all the time which is quite accurate so I’ve taken a photo of her and added/will be adding a flower crown and some war paint. I’m a tattoo artist but haven’t actually sat down to draw a portrait in over 4 years so it’s been slow moving getting back into it! Still sooooo much left to do but I’ve been having a lot of fun so I thought I’d share it here so far and see what other Moma’s are doing or plan to do for a more frugal Father’s Day 😂

I am just blown away and overwhelmed by everyone’s response! Thank you so much for your kind words I really appreciate all the positive feed back! It’s hard to respond to everyone at this point haha so I thought I’d make an update with a couple responses to some of the frequent questions :)

1: I work out of a shop called 9th line tattoo company

2: it’s located 958 Innisfil beach road, Ontario

3: I do do animal portraits as well and I’d love to do more drawing on the side however at this point I can’t commit to taking on the added responsibility:( the extra money would be amazing plus I want to get back into drawing more buttt I’m already stretched quite

4: someone had asked about what I am doing this project with. It’s just regular old printer paper and pencils :) for this I’ve been using a 6B, 4B and a mechanical pencil. Blending stumps and a kneaded eraser are definitely an asset as well!

5: tattoo wise my style is actually quite different from my drawing style 😂 while I do love tattooing animal portraits I primarily work with colour. I’m known for doing a lot of water colour style tattoos.
