Choose c section or vaginal induction??

Question

My child is measuring on the 99 percentile for her body size and 40th for her head size. Ultrasound today said 9lbs. Doctor has explained he is concerned about shoulder dysphasia. But would not make a call for c section until she hit 5000g for weight. It’s all up to me and the soonest induction could take place is next Wednesday. Anyone been through this before?? What do you think I should choose? My last child was 8lb 15 oz and came out fine.

C section my son was the same came vaginal because I went into labor early and it was so fast couldn’t get a hospital transfer. Broke my tail bone, baby’s heart rate dropping with every contraction, he was stuck had to cut me and pinched nerves in his neck. He’s now 16 months and we fished OT and PT 4 months ago to help strengthen his left side. If I could go back would have scheduled the c section.

I’d go vaginal especially since it’s your second baby.

I would go for vagina first because they say baby is 9 pounds but could come out 8 pounds.

I would try to push Vaginal first if they see you honestly can't they will do an emergency Csection . My son came out just fine. I struggled with the last push a bit but everything turned out fine.

I would do vaginal my first was 9lbs my second was a few ounces away from 10 lbs and it all worked out .

My son was only 7lbs but tall and I’m short. He got wedged on my pelvic bone and his heart rate dropped with each contraction so I had a csection. It was scary but he made it here safe and healthy.

I was told the same with my son and was going to be induced but then his heart rate kept dropping with contractions so I had the c section instead. Cord was wrapped around his neck. I’m happy I ended up not trying induction vaginally

The more I look and research the more upset it get. Can this cause cerebral palsy??

It is my 4th child but my concern I guess is the doctor said because her body is so much larger than her head she may get her head out and get stuck there like that. I feel like I’m being selfish opting for a vaginal induction because I don’t want to be cut open. I also thought they would induce me sooner but Wednesday is far away and just more time for her to pack on the pounds and I just wish this wasn’t happening.
