Why aren’t the hcg tests getting darker??

Question

I found out Wednesday (furthest left) that I’m pregnant. Tested again Thursday (middle), and it was a little darker. Tested again just now, the day of my missed period (right). Why hasn’t the line gotten darker?
I haven’t had any bleeding or cramping, and I’m already getting some pregnancy symptoms. The doc drew blood to check hcg levels rising (progesterone was great), but I won’t hear back until Tuesday because of the long weekend.

That’s not a quantitative HCG test and you cannot use a pee stick to determine if your HCG is going up. I know the ladies on here like to freak out over their lines and it gives the impression that it means more than it does. The tests are to determine if HCG is present - not how much. The test either turns a color or it doesn’t. The dye being darker literally means absolutely nothing. All it means is you’re pregnant. 
There are so many variables that will affect the darkness of the dye. Each individual test may have more or less due. Maybe your pee is more diluted at one time compared to another. All that matters is that a line is there. 
If you want to know if your HCG is increasing, the only way to do that is to request a quantitative HCG blood test from your doctor. You get a couple blood draws over a few days and compare. However, most doctors don’t order this unless you have a history of loss.
So, calm down and enjoy your positive test.

It’s not showing a clear progression because you are testing too often. 48 hours in between will give you a easier to see difference. They definitely look darker to me though!
