umbilical cord fell off. is this how it’s supposed to look?

the still got stuck of his outfit and when i went to pull it up to change him it came off. there is like a clear yellow stuff inside. i don’t know what it’s supposed to looks like

How old was your little one when it fell off? My boy will be one week tomorrow and his is looking like it’s about to fall off. I got freaked out because he kicked during a changing and his diaper hit it and it moved some more. I wasn’t sure if it was possible to fall off too early!?

We put warm water on a q-tip and cleaned it out once a day

Just be sure to open it like you opened it in the pic and clean it inside the nurse said I should just drop surgical spirits into that hole and just keep it clean
