I am 20 and have had an elevated blood pressure for at least 4 days. Who knows how long it’s been elevated before I had it checked.

Yes I had it with my first since 16 weeks I felt really poorly before I started medication. They said it must have been something I suffered with for years as it’s uncommon to get it so early on but I hadnt really have it checked before. It actually went right down as soon I had my baby. 
It did come back with my 2 baby and the same again it went away as soon as I had her. It for me didn’t cause any compilations but you will be monitored more closely during your pregnancy and tend to have more scans.

I’ve had it with all three of my pregnancies. After my first pregnancy and having pre-eclampsia, I now take a baby aspirin daily, drink lots of water, and cut out extra sodium in my diet. Unfortunately, mine is unavoidable during pregnancy due to a blood disorder. The extra blood volume puts strain on both my heart and my kidneys so I’m considered high risk and am followed closely.

In my first pregnancy my blood pressure was completely normal the whole time. 
Second it was fine until suddenly at 32 weeks is sky rocketed to 250/135 and I had a urgent emergency csection for severe pre eclampsia (I was about to imminently have seizures/stroke). 
My third pregnancy was a still birth so I don’t know how it would have ended. 
This pregnancy I am currently 20 weeks and my blood pressure started rising about 3-4 weeks ago. I was started on a blood pressure medication called labetalol (then changed to methyldopa, and then back to labetalol) and for now my blood pressure has stabilised. At the moment I have pregnancy induced hypertension, and don’t know if it will escalate to pre eclampsia again. Time will tell I guess.

Yes and I had to be induced at 38 weeks. After birth it still didn’t go down until almost 2 months after. I had to be on meds during that time. It got really bad about a week after I gave birth and I had really bad headaches and almost went blind. Super scary but now at 6 months pp my vision is almost back to normal.

My blood pressure was fine all the way up to my 38 week appointment. I had borderline pre eclampsia so they induced me that day
