Do I love my doggy now?

I posted a while ago asking why I didn’t feel as attached to my dog as I had been to my previous dog who had passed away. Y’all said it would happen and I’ve come with an update.

Do I love my dog now? Yes. Even when I bathe her and the first thing she does is go roll in mud. I love her so much I just wanna squeeze her lmao

Added: i think it’s harder for me to bond with dogs because I legitimately waited 5 years to get another dog. my dog dying was horrible for me and it took a long time to move on. I loved her when I got her I just wasn’t feeling attached for a while. Just took longer

And If you saw the story a few months ago about how I got her and want to know whatever happened with her funky looking hernia in her half healed spay incision, I took her to the vet and they said it would go away on it’s own. I was surprised because it looked worrisome. It’s fully gone now and she is completely healed. Can barely tell where her scar is.
