First fertility appointment?

Question

When did you guys first make an appointment for fertility? Just curious. I'm still pretty early, 7 months TTC, but I've had 2 MC and I'm wanting some answers on why.

As soon as we started trying I decided to go and get everything tested. I didn’t want to waste a year trying to find out it was pointless. And thank goodness I did, we ended up with male factor infertility and needed to use donor sperm with IVF. So in my opinion, it’s never too early. If we had of waited that year to ‘try’ we would be pregnant with our son now. He’d be another year away. Good luck!

Two years of trying and we went in. We have male factor and had to do IUI and meds. We have a 16 month old daughter and I’m currently 10w3d. We also used the infertility birth control with no surprise baby before going back for number 2. It can be very hard mentally and don’t be afraid to take a break if your going nuts and obsessing to much. We had to take a break both times and our first time back was successful each time.

I have at seven months trying and I’m pregnant I was supposed to get at HSG but I can’t now

I went around 2.5 years ttc. We waited a while but were in denial about us having problems. We found out when we went that I have a blocked tube and a lazy ovary on the working side my husband has sperm issues with morphology and movement. We went back to the clinic to start the process again when our daughter (iui baby) was 13-14 months. We have been using infertility as our birth control with no other forms of contraception. I really hoped to not have to go back and have a surprise/miracle baby found at the ultrasound but it didn’t happen. Good luck. We are very happy with our fertility clinics that we worked with and will continue to use one until our family is complete.

Looking back now, we went in too late.
We tried three months and got pregnant on the forth, had two miscarriages back to back, then nothing for 6 months, then another miscarriage. Saw a miscarriage specialist and got tons of tests, only to hear unexplained infertility. We only went to an assistant reproductive specialist another 6 months later, almost two years after we got married and started trying. 
In hindsight I wish we had gone there after the 1st miscarriages. My gyno’s advice of just keep trying it will happen was very bad. 
Doing IVF now, hoping for success in the coming weeks. 🤞
It would have saved our relationship and each of us a lot of heartache if we had just moved faster. On the other hand, maybe we would not have been ready to decide on IVF earlier. It was  (still is) a bit uncomfortable to replace what should be the most natural act of producing a baby with all the medical acts, exams, stats, shots, time, money... Hope this helps!

2 years of trying. 2 miscarriages we have done every test needed HSG showed my tubes are clear and open, his Sperm count is 185 million all blood tests seemed fine. As soon as I start my June cycle I call for an u/s appt and start clomid to do IUI 🙏🏼

Generally speaking they recommend a year of trying and 6 months for women 35 and older. That being said, if you have reason to believe something is wrong, talk with your Ob/Gyn and see if they can refer you to a specialist so you don’t waste time!
