Is it safe to hang stuff on wall above baby’s crib ?

As long as it’s very secure and they can’t reach it. 
I’d also make sure that the crib is far enough from the wall so just in case it falls, it can slide behind the crib and not smash on the baby. 
I’d opt for a decal. I’m too paranoid about them choking, strangling or hurting themselves.

So one time in my old house,  a picture that had been securely hung on the wall with proper brackets no joke just fell to the floor out of nowhere. It happened to only one picture of the 20 years I've been living on my own, but it happened. So I only put soft stuff above the crib and the rest on another wall.

Nope. You never know when an earthquake or big truck driving by or something could shake it loose. I don't even hang stuff over my own bed, I certainly wouldn't do it in my kids' rooms.

Depends what it is. Pictures and such? Eh maybe I personally would not but lots of people do. Things like those netting/canopy things absolutely not
