Just have to lay him down when he’s already asleep! If he’s only half asleep he will wake up and we start the soothing game all over 🤪😬😆

If he's fussy, I put him down in front of his crib mobile toy and wait.  He usually falls out after many attempts to fight it lol

My little guy fusses for less then 5 minutes and then goes down. The key is swaddling, in his own room with sound machine and black out curtains. He has 1-2 hour naps this way and sleeps through the night! Has since 4 weeks 🎉

If we are going through a leap/growth spurt then no. But I set my 5 week old down a little drowsy and she is slowing learning to put herself to sleep. Of course, there are plenty of days when we battle and plenty of times she nurses herself to sleep. Look into Taking Cara Babies newborn class to help with setting your newborn up with a good sleep foundation. I’ve been doing it since 3 weeks :)
