Am I a bad parent?

Question

Ok everyone, at this point our LOs have more energy and like to be moving and doing things.
So he’ll be 10 months on June 4th. When we go out and we are somewhere for a long time (waiting rooms, swim lessons etc) I’ll let him walk around. By me holding his arms as he can’t walk yet by himself: at swim he likes to stand on the glass and look at the kids in the pool while we wait and yes he will bang on the glassy
Am I a bad parent for letting him do this? Should I try to reign him in more by not letting him walk or explore? Also don’t get me started on the baby y’all he loves to do in public and loud. I love it but I know others might ...

Letting him walk around and explore is great. So is letting him experiencing things by touching, banging, grabbing, etc. However, I wouldn't let my baby do something now that I wouldn't like her doing when she's, say, 18 months old. Why teach her something is okay, only to re-teach her later that it's actually npt okay, you know? 
For example, my baby likes to shriek at the top of her lungs and growl. She's being silly and it's her thing, lol. 💁 So while we're at home I might shriek back or do something silly to encourage her shrieking, when we're somewhere like church, where screaming and growling at the top of her lungs might not be appropriate, I try to redirect her instead. I'll usually smile and say, "shh shh shh" and hand her a toy. That way I'm setting the expectations up now that when we're at ___ we are a little more quiet. 
I think it's the same for banging on the glass. I wouldn't let my baby do that, because I don't want her doing it a year from now. Nor would I want her banging on the glass at the pet store or the zoo. Instead, I would encourage her to do something else like wave down to the kids in the water, or if she was in a banging mood, I'd find somewhere to sit and bang on the floor in a pattern, or pat my legs (my baby loves this and gets super excited when we join in lol), so that way she's still stimulated, without being disruptive. 
I think the consistency goes a long way, even with babies! I hope this helps!

No. Babies need to explore and learn. Its natural for them to be loud and want to move around. Its all part of them growing and learning. 😊 Its more than just walking around and yelling. They are learning balance, voice tones, shapes, colors, etc. Even if they dont talk yet its all processing in their little brains.
