Group B Strep? Anyone had it while pregnant?

Hey all, I had my urine tested to see if I have a kidney infection and they told me I did not but there were traces of Group B Strep, I’m 31 weeks pregnant. I decided to google it and found out it can cause stillbirth and now I’m freaking out. Has anyone else had this and their baby born healthy?

I have it and it will be FINE!!! Calm down babe. All they will do is possibly give you some meds now and you will have to go on IV antibiotics during labor. Don’t google anything in pregnancy lol. Always ask doctor or people who have experience. You and baby will be fine. Enjoy your pregnancy honey 😁🎉

Group B strep is a normal bacteria found in some pregnant women. If it’s present all they do is give you antibiotics four hours before you deliver. It’s so fast growing however that it can treat itself and go away on its own from now until you deliver which is why they test again around 35 weeks. If it’s still present that just means they’ll give you antibiotics through an IV when you’re in labor. I had it my first pregnancy, and during labor was given the antibiotics. Everything was fine. This pregnancy i was just tested at 36 weeks and didn’t have it.
