First Ultrasound

So I went to my first doctors appointment today, and the nurse said that based on my last period I was 6 weeks. The doctor come in and did an ultrasound but didn’t see the baby, he said that I was super early still and I asked him so does that mean I’m less than 6 weeks and he states possibly.

Has anybody else had this happen to them ?
