How early can you have ultrasounds done? What’s the earliest you ladies have had one?

My first was at 9 weeks. If you get one before 5/6 weeks you might not see a heartbeat or see much.

Mine was 7 weeks, we heard the heartbeat and all was good. Wouldnt do much sooner though since you most likely wont see much and it can cause you to worry needlessly

I had one done at 4 weeks due to severe pain. They assumed ectopic but it was a ruptured cyst. Others I had gone at 7 weeks.

I had my first one vaginally at 6 weeks (I’m pretty sure my OBGYN did it to confirm I was actually pregnant, she had just removed my IUD and I think it crossed her mind I might be crazy 😂). I could see the little bean’s heart flicker which was amazing, but I know sometimes you can’t see anything that early on.

My first and only one was at 20 weeks. Most cases you only get one at 20 because insurance only covers one and that is when it is medically necessary. They do more if you are high risk, measuring under or over... Etc.

I had my first at 6w3days due to being in the hospital for fluids.. he even had a heart beat of 164 (I’m 24 weeks now)

I wouldn’t get one before 8 weeks. A lot of the times, moms go TOO early (6ish weeks) and then they don’t see a heartbeat yet and freak out that somethings wrong, just to be told to come back in a week or two and check again. Waiting until 8 weeks allows the baby to form enough to where (unless you’re way earlier than you expected) you should be able to see the heartbeat with ease. My doctor will not see you before 8 weeks regardless. But that’s the earliest I’d be willing to go.
