Toddler bed

My son is turning 2 tomorrow. The crib we have for him transforms into a toddler bed. I’ve just been so scared to do it because when he wakes up he stands up and with hardwood floors I know he can really hurt himself. I do have one of the side rails things so I know he won’t fall because he is a roller in his sleep. Even on my bed he will stand up and try to walk off the bed. Anyone already transitioned? Any advice? Should I wait a while before transitioning? Please help ease my worries 😬😬😬

UPDATE:

I sucked it up and took the rail off his crib to transition to toddler bed and I put my foam yoga mat on the floor next to him just in case and he has done amazing! When he woke up he kept saying wow! Wow! Like a million times it was so cute! And he won’t stand in it he scooches his butt to the edge of the bed and slowly gets off! I’m glad I made this move. I can’t believe my baby is a big boy now so proud of him! Thank you all for your input! :)
