Just had my postpartum appt and doctor said there could have been several reasons why I went into preterm labor (I had a 28 weeker).

Doctor said I have a bicornuate uterus (heart-shaped uterus) and that usually doesn’t give enough room for baby to grow.

My placenta was also infected when I delivered, which could be another reason. Doctor thought it was strange the placenta was infected because apparently it usually happens after your water breaks and they had to break my water.

I have a follow up appointment to do more research into this because I want more babies!
