Should I feel bad?

I have a 2 yr old and she’s very clingy still . It’s almost impossible to do much because she wants me to pick her up all the time (even though I’ll say no and she have tantrums) or just wants me to sit with her for everything. So I need to be able to take a shower or a bath because it’s usually very late when she goes to bed, and sometimes I want to read too. So I would turn cartoons on a sneak to the bathroom to bathe and basically hide lol (funny but not funny) . Her dad says I need to stop that and not do it anymore because I’m giving her way too much power over me and that I’m not teaching her to listen . I understand what he’s saying but it’s easier said than done . Should I feel bad for hiding from my kid? And what is your outlook? 🤦🏾‍♀️
