Marine ball help!!!

Hey loves. So this is my first military ball. My husband said that isn’t not that fancy but our friend (she’s a Marine) said that it’s nicer but to be in something comfortable.....ummmmmm. My comfortable is a short flowy dress and nothing that would say “ball”.

HELP! I don’t have a clue on what type of dress I need to be looking for. I have tried to show him some nice dresses that aren’t really flashy or really even “fancy” and he just tells me that it’s too much that it’s more of a bland type of evening.

The problem I’m having is every photo I see of other women getting ready for the marine ball they are all dolled. Can y’all drop some photos of what you have warn/are wearing for this year.

I know every place is different but I’m just needing some type of advice please. Thank you.

Ps I’m a very big girl as well. I’m 240/250 lbs and I’m 5’ 7”.
