Toddlers and blankets

This might be a little ridiculous, but I still don’t have a blanket in my 18 month old’s crib. I’m just too paranoid that something could happen, plus I feel like it might be a distraction for her (I tried once to put a blanket over her during nap time and she just played with it so I took it out.) Usually I dress her in long sleeves and pants for bed time. And for naps, if it’s a little chilly (and she’s wearing shorts/short sleeves,) I put her in a sleep sack that has little feet holes. Am I crazy for not being comfortable with giving her a blanket? How can I get over this? And what kind of blanket do you have in your little’s crib?
