What’s your plan for work after baby is born?

I’m planning on taking 1 year maternity and then going back on reduced hours

I have 2 years maternity leave and my job will be waiting for me (by law) when I return.

After either 6 or 8 weeks I'll go back to my full time job, I'm just glad I only work 4 days for 10 hours at night, so my husband will take care of her and when I go back home I'll take care of her while he goes to work

I will be working full time, but 4 days a week instead of 5 days a week. My lunch break is paid, so I’ll go from 8 hour shifts to 10 hour shifts.

I’m in the us, I had 6 weeks through my own short term disability insurance, then used 4 weeks of my states maternity leave plan, and I have a reminder 6 weeks that I’m taking by the day and taking one day a week off until January. It still sucks though, my baby is 2 months old and I’m going back to work tomorrow. I have to leave my baby at a sitter for 4 days for 8 hours a day. It’s insane that the United States don’t have more maternity time. My supervisor even called me to inform my I have a new position when I get back too... so not only am I going to be stressed from leaving my daughter but I have to learn a whole new position this week. Ugh 😑 I wish I could just stay home with her but I carry our families insurance and my company has a great retirement plan. My husband owns his own business so it’s better for us financially for me to go back 😢

I did what your doing with my first. After my second I went to resign but they said they want to keep me on the books in hopes I change my mind. I don't plan on working for 4 or so years now

I gave birth in March and I'm going back in December. It's an option to save some weeks so i decided to do that. And then I'll go back on reduced hours. Still debating how much I'm gonna ask for.

I’m planning on staying off at least 9 months but most likely won’t return to my current job. I will stay home longer as long as we’re financially able to afford it.
