Is your pediatrician concerned about your baby’s weight?

I know plenty of people comment on baby’s being “too big” or “too small”. My question is specifically wether or not baby’s DOCTOR has expressed a concern.

My son was 27 inches and 16.5 lbs at his appointment last week. At 4 mos his dr was concerned about him being too little(12lbs) but this time she said he’s coming along fine. I thought she would still be concerned since he’s still in 20 something percentile for weight but no 🤷🏽‍♀️

My baby was born 9lbs 10oz, and now at almost 7 months she’s 14lbs. He’s not concerned yet, but he’s watching her.

Not anymore! My daughter was born premature with a low birthweight besides. She was on preemie formula until 6 months and it helped her go from below the chart at birth to 53% at 6 months!

We are at lightly concerned about too small. She is going in for a weight check in a few weeks to monitor things.

Baby girl is only 5th precentile and has been since birth. At her 6 month appointment she only weighed 13 lbs. But is 50th precentile for height and head circumference. Doctors have never worried.

My son is in the 10% percentile, so he’s definitely smaller. But 2 days before he was 2 months he had pyloric stenosis so we were getting surgery. So our pediatrician doesn’t look at the percentiles, just how far he has come for what he’s been through. I love our pediatrician for that
