Why does my baby keep gagging herself!

My 3 month old loves to suck and chew on her fingers but every time she always chokes like fingers deep down her throat! Anyone else’s baby do this? Is it just her exploring her hands?

My 9 months old does this too. They’ll grow out of it but she gags and goes right back in lol

My son used to do this. He eventually learnt. Babies gag reflex is closer to the front of the mouth where as ours is further back to our throat. As baby gets older it will move back. But your baby will learn by repeating this.

Yep. My son did it tell almost 6 months when he started to figure out what he was doing to himself lol
