My husband HATES texting and is very brief in messages, but he is happy to call or talk in person. I would just see how he is around you and with other people. If he texts other people crazy and sends long messages etc, but doesn't with you than I would be more concerned.

Honestly my partner is so short over text, if I didn’t know him better I’d think he was really rude! He just isn’t all that clued up on texting and emojis and all of that. He’d much rather just speak on the phone than have a text conversation

My husband and I barely text, never have been. He works in the trades so he’s busy. So texts are usually straight and to the point.

In my experience, it usually does, but with my dude now, he’s usually busy or just leaves his phone lying around and doesn’t pay any attention to it.

Maybe, maybe not. Might just be in his character. My partner sometimes short text but when we’re together it’s Trotsky different. He may not be feeling like texting but don’t want to be rude and not text at all. You never know with men lol. If you feel that way just ask him. “Hey are you up for talking now”. I’m learning that communication is the best.
