SAHD actually. I’ve done the first year and my husband will be doing 1 yr to 18 months. We are super lucky in Canada. The fact that my husband will be home with him is the only thing that makes going back to work semi ok

Working mom but my husband and I work different shifts so we’ve never needed daycare. We are thinking about starting him around 16 months once or twice a week so he can have more socialization.

My little one had been in daycare since 14 weeks when maternity leave was up. I had her and her older brother all last week because we moved and couldn’t start childcare yet. I was so happy to go back to work with adults today.

My son will be starting daycare in August so he’ll be 14 months. I would love to keep being a SAHM but we could use the extra money, so the perfect senerio for us was I got a job at a daycare and he’ll be going there for a discounted price. That way he’ll be in the same building as me each day (different room of course), I’ll still be making some money, and nothing to take home on the weekends. I used to teach 6th grade and considered going back but I would be working m-f then plus bringing home 100+ papers to grade and doing lesson plans at night and on weekends and paying over $1000 for daycare on top of that. So when I found the daycare position it was perfect.

We are testing daycare with our youngest cause she is glued to me all day long and doesn’t like anyone else so if she does well I’ll be finally going back to work after 3 years of being a stay at home mom
