Is red raspberry leaf tea safe?

Is red raspberry leaf tea safe to drink? I’m almost 39 weeks pregnant and I’m scheduled to be induced on the 14th. This is my 2nd and really wanted to go into labor on my own. Will this help? And is it safe?

It doesn’t make you go into labor. It has a lot of nutrients that is good for your uterus. People drink it in third trimester to help strengthen their uterus so when labor comes supposedly you won’t rip/ will be easier.

Yes it’s safe. I drank it towards the end and it gave me very painful Braxton Hicks so I stopped, but it’s supposedly helpful to tone your uterus.

I have heard of lots of women drinking it in their 3rd trimester, even on the packaging it says it’s safe during pregnancy. I’m thinking of starting it around 36 weeks because women have said it’s helped shorten their labor.
