Never thought I would find this.
So my husband and I just bought a house in February. My mother gave me a box of old pictures of myself and my baby book, last night I started looking through the box and found paperwork on me from a hospital in a big city where I faintly remember going to. I don’t remember much. I only remember going to the doctor after having a headache for over a month and meds didn’t touch it. Well in this paperwork I found that I was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia. Which brings to light why I had to stay in a different hospital later on for a blood transfusion. Does anyone else have this? What does it mean while TTC? I got the blood transfusion back in 2012, then shortly after was diagnosed and treated for stage 3 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Could I have been misdiagnosed? Since they found out I had cancer afterwards? I’m so confused and stunned. I have always had trouble with my period being every irregular. Aunt flow comes into the picture, stays for up to 2 months then leaves for 2 weeks and repeat. This has to be the reason I’m not conceiving, right?! The oncologist said it’s 50/50 if I can have children but everyone I know and the group that I’m apart of has had babies either during or after chemo so I’m doubtful it’s my TTC troubles is from having had cancer. What do you guys think?
