Got dumped for a sugar momma

I was dating this guy for 6 months, and this was my first real serious relationship. He did have a lot of baggage tho and he had to work a lot and he didn’t like not making a lot of money. So as the nice girlfriend i am, sometimes i would treat him to get his spirits up. So his birthday comes and he really wanted to go shopping he claims he never got any gifts for his birthday in his 25 years of life. So we go shopping and (me being the dumbass) i buy him whatever he wants. Sneakers, polo, shorts , button down shirts. Probably everything cost $300. A week after his birthday the vibe has changed he’s not talking much he’s being distant. And i finally call him out on it and he decides to be honest and say that he found a suga momma basically someone who can upgrade his life and that because of their arrangement he can no longer be in a relationship with me. How crazy, and i feel like the dumbass for buying him shit. Not once in our relationship did he get me anything or did anything nice for me. It was always me because i was really blinded by my feelings for him. This is definitely a lesson learned. If the man is not willing to crawl and kiss your feet he’s clearly not the one.
