For people who live in an apartment complex

Have you ever filed a noise complaint? If so, why? Asking because my bf and I live in an apartment complex and about 15 minutes ago I could our neighbor coughing her head off. I’ve never heard her before unless her door was open, etc. anyway, my bf is so loud while playing his games and now I have no doubt she can hear him and I feel so bad for this older woman. He yells and curses at these people and I know if she can hear him she doesn’t appreciate it. He won’t quiten down no matter how many times I tell him he’s being loud. This cannot continue when our son is born.

Have any of you dealt with a loud SO? What did/do you do? I can’t stand it much longer.
